Right Angle Weave

So I have been really into bicone crystals lately. They fit together really nicely to make intricate patterns and as you may know I love intricate patterns! In search for inspiration for bicone designs I came across this tutorial for the right angle weave. Bicones work really well with this weave but round beads work as well. First I made a bracelet with the leftover crystals I had from a previous project and loved the technique so much I did it again with the leftover beads from the Melisandre necklace. Here are some pics and a link to the tutorial I used to learn the weave! Its super simple and easy to learn but the results are very impressive so give it a try next time you have some extra beads!

Melisandre Necklace

It's finally done! After about three weeks of intense labor the Melisandre necklace is finished and I am so pleased with the way it came out. Now that I have finished the fifth book and season two of the show has just ended I am going through Game of Thrones withdrawal so this was a fun piece to make. At first I was a bit worried that it would be too heavy but it actually has a really nice weight to it. I wore it comfortably for the whole day so it's not too heavy but not so light that you forget you are wearing it. And the weave is so nice it feels like fabric in your hands. Anyway here are some pictures so enjoy! I'm gonna go give my fingers a break for a while!
